Having spent years working as a primary school teacher, more recently as a Head of Year, learning about people and working closely with them has always been at the heart of what I do.
Driven by genuine care, empathy and a love for connecting with others, I’ve always been naturally sociable and drawn to creative writing (often lamenting how few opportunities adults get to write freely, tell stories and embrace our imagination), alongside my career.
Celebrancy has brought all of these passions together in the most unexpected way.
About Me!
How Celebrancy Found Me
My path to becoming a celebrant began while serving as ‘Man of Honour’ for my best friend’s wedding. Watching their celebrant conduct the service was a revelation. The deep sense of care and dedication she poured into crafting every moment of one of the best days of their lives was almost tangible.
Some time later, at a different wedding, an unforeseen set of circumstances meant a celebrant was suddenly needed. When the question was asked to the room, heads turned to me in unison! Stepping up in that moment confirmed what I already felt: creating and leading a meaningful ceremony is one of the most rewarding things a person can do.
Permission to Enjoy Every Moment
Your ceremony should never feel like a stiff performance or a box to tick.
I design my entire process to create space for you to relax, open up and truly let loose.
We will take the time to build a genuine, comfortable relationship where you feel completely supported from our very first conversation to the moment you walk down the aisle.
Whether that means bringing warmth, humour or quiet reassurance, my goal is to give you total confidence to celebrate your day entirely your way.
The International College of Professional Celebrants
To bring the highest level of care and skill to my work, I completed intensive residential training with the International College of Professional Celebrants (ICPC) at High Trenhouse.
Following this immersive experience, I undertook the UK NOCN Level 3 qualification in Civil Celebrancy to ensure every ceremony I write and deliver is grounded in thorough professional excellence.
